Grandparent’s Day Baking 🧁🍰

To celebrate Grandparent’s Day the students chatted to their grandparents to discover their favourite recipes. The students then shared their recipes (and some baking tips) with the class! The students did a fantastic job baking and it was lovely to share with the rest of the school!

Hands on Maths 📐

Using hands on resources are a really important part of maths. They help us link maths problems to real life while also broadening our minds to find new ways to solve problems. By using manipulatives such as blocks, matchsticks, cubes, lollipop sticks or drawing on whiteboards, it helps us visualise problems that sometimes are hard to understand!

Art- Pointillism

For the past for weeks we have been learning about the Supermarket in Aistear. We decided to link this with art and created wonderful pieces of fruit only using cotton buds and paint.  All the students did a fantastic job! This was new way to try out painting and art for the students.

Project Work 🇮🇪

Third Class got the year off to a start with some project work. The students worked in pairs to create a project based on a famous landmark in Ireland. The students first researched the landmark, then selected points they wanted to focus on and wrote about it in a presentation style. The students then selected photos that suited their project and added them to the presentation. Great work by all the students!
