The Senior Infants do a lot of hands on activities in Maths. Last week was full of extra maths activities to celebrate Maths week. Our topic for the week was 2D shapes.
Have a look at some of our 2D Monsters and Playdough shapes.
For the past for weeks we have been learning about the Supermarket in Aistear. We decided to link this with art and created wonderful pieces of fruit only using cotton buds and paint. All the students did a fantastic job! This was new way to try out painting and art for the students.
Egypt is a very interesting country to focus on and can be integrated throughout the curriculum, from English to SESE, Art and Drama. The students created fabulous dioramas (shoebox art) focused on Egypt!
With Rugby fresh in all our minds after this years Rugby World Cup, the students were keen to begin their rugby training π The students of 3rd & 4th class had their first training session today and got off to a great start. It’s super to see students trying out new sports and finding new interests! Thanks to all at Gort & Connacht Rugby for this lovely experience!
